Class Schedule

JAMES RIVER YOGA embraces many styles of yoga and all opportunities to learn and deepen understanding of what yoga can do for  body, mind and spirit. Classes are led by teachers with the desire to share their passion and understanding of a particular style, technique, or approach to Yoga.  PLEASE READ THE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS ON THE “CLASS DESCRIPTIONS” PAGE; WE WANT YOU TO BE SAFE AND SOME CLASSES ARE NOT APPROPRIATE FOR FIRST TIME YOGIS.

NOTE:  On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00-7:15 p.m., Mike Cundiff teaches Vinyasa (intermediate level) in our shared studio space.

* CLASSES TAUGHT BY NANCY, LESLIE, SARAH AND ANNE are offered as 10 week Sessions.  $90 for 10 weeks, 1.5 hour class; $75 for 10 weeks, 1 hour class. (Nancy offers a discount for a student who registers for more than one class with her in a session.)  Drop ins are always welcome and you don’t have to wait until the beginning of the next session to start!

If you sign up for a session and find that you have to miss a class, YOU CAN MAKE UP IN ANY OTHER “SESSION” CLASS (the ones beside an asterix on the schedule page) WITH ANY OTHER TEACHER – LADIES ONLY FOR VOLUPTUOUS LADIES CLASS, PLEASE; you can also “make up” in advance if you know you will have to miss an upcoming class. Make-ups must be completed before the session is over.

UPCOMING TEN WEEK SESSIONS:  March 29 – June 6, 2015; June 21 – August 29, 2015; August 30 – November 7, 2015; November 8, 2015 – January 23, 2016 (this session includes Christmas week off: Wed. Dec. 23 through Wed. Dec. 30); January 24, 2016 – April 2, 2016; April 3, 2016 – June 11, 2016; June 12, 2016 – August 20, 2016.  

CLASSES THAT ARE NOT SESSION CLASSES ARE CLASS PASS, AND MINDFULNESS MEDITATION IS DONATION-BASED.

Inclement Weather Policy:  Check our “Home” page and/or facebook page for the most up to date information.  We will make a decision two hours before the start of class, whenever possible.

Holidays: the studio is closed on Christmas Week and Thanksgiving Day – we are open on all the other holidays – including Easter and New Year’s Day.
